DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Portland Design Exploration is the development side of Plan Design Xplore. After years of helping make other people’s projects successful, partners Miles Sisk and Jonathan Konkol decided to bring their combined expertise in real estate finance, property management, architecture, land use planning, urban design, politics and market analysis to bear on the task of creating unique, small scale urban development projects.
In addition to developing projects of our own, we offer consulting and fee developer services.
Miles Sisk is a UO Grad and Oregon native with a background in real estate finance, property management and political consulting. He lives in the West End district of downtown Portland.
Jonathan Konkol studied cultural anthropology at Reed College, and went on to earn Masters Degrees in Urban Planning (PSU) and Architecture (UW). He holds a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development, and has worked in real estate consulting for a wide range of clients. He has subsequently worked at several architectural practices in Portland, Seattle and Denmark, with work experience on urban design, affordable housing, commercial and non-profit/community service projects. Jonathan lives in the Eliot neighborhood in northeast Portland. He serves on the Eliot Neighborhood Board, the City Club of Portland, and is a past board member of Allied Arts of Seattle.
